Channel Building Company to Construct New Facility for Danversport Yacht Club Marina

To include new boat storage, repair and sales areas

Wilmington, MA– December 6, 2011 –  Channel Building Company, a leading design-build commercial construction company, today announced that they have commenced construction of a new pre-engineered building for Danversport Yacht Club Marina located on Route 62 in Danvers, Massachusetts.

Danversport Yacht Club Marina is a full-service marine facility located on 37 acres North of Boston. The project, which has already started, will consist of a 20,000 square foot Varco-Pruden pre-engineered clapboard-sided building that will double the company's existing boat storage and include a 6,500 square foot sales area. This storage and repair facility will be fully heated, have a 34 foot clear height and include a state-of-the-art overhead crane system.

Due to the proximity to the ocean, Channel Building will be performing extensive ground improvements to support the new structure. Exterior work will include a parking lot expansion and a paved boat storage area of approximately 80,000 square feet.

The marina will be opened for business during the duration of the construction, with an expected completion date of late Spring, 2012.
