Channel Building Company Announces Major Redevelopment Project
Enhanced facility to draw new business to the area
Wilmington, MA– June 22, 2007 – Channel Building Company, a leading design-build commercial construction company, today announced the redevelopment of their 72,000 square foot multi-tenant facility situated on over four acres at 355 Middlesex Avenue, Route 62, in Wilmington, Massachusetts.
Among some of the major improvements to the two-story building, will be improved handicapped access, updated loading docks, elevator, improved building entry, landscaping, granite-curbed sidewalks, consistent building signage, expanded parking directly in front of the building and an updated storm water infiltration system.
“We are excited about this design-build project and expect to draw additional quality tenants with the new building enhancements and expanded parking,” stated Jerry Diorio, Vice President at Channel Building. “The 20,000 square foot, sub-dividable space available for lease is very flexible and can be used for retail, office, restaurant or other service business. An additional 16,000 square feet is available on the second floor and is perfect for office and R & D requirements.”
Located just 15 miles north of Boston and within walking distance from the North Wilmington Commuter Rail Station, the project also includes designing and building a free-standing 2,700 square foot structure. This building was approved for an automobile service window for drive-thru access, ideally suited for a financial institution or restaurant.
Channel’s first new tenant will be the Registry of Motor Vehicles occupying 10,500 square feet. The project has commenced this month and Channel will have a phase-in occupancy plan starting in the fall of this year. Leasing is being handled by Boylston Retail Group.
