Channel Building Nears Completion of Retail Shopping Center

Major Redevelopment at Bell Circle in Revere, Massachusetts

Wilmington, MA– April 10, 2008 –  Channel Building Company, a leading design-build commercial construction company, today announced they are nearing completion of the new 50,600 square foot multi-building retail center in Revere, Massachusetts.

This $14 million dollar design-build renovation project for owner Mahoney Circle LLC, which began in May of last year, includes four retail buildings, with two of the buildings having lower level store fronts. As structured currently, there are 23 tenant spaces ranging from 1,200 square feet to 13,000 square feet. The site is also approved for 6,000 square feet of restaurant space.

The project involved total demolition of three existing buildings, redeveloping of retail and automotive space, increased road access and a major site clean up for environmental compliance. According to Marc Lehoullier, Project Executive with Channel Building Company, “The City of Revere enthusiastically supported this major redevelopment of what’s commonly referred to as the ‘Gateway to Revere’, in order to beautify a very run-down, dilapidated but highly visible traffic circle.” .

Channel Building also recently completed the redevelopment of nearby 55 American Legion Highway home to Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Advance Auto Parts, and King of Swing Golf Shop.

As a full-service construction company, Channel Building Company managed all the necessary preconstruction services including permitting, value engineering, constructability review, site and building design, scheduling and budgeting.

All set to move into the new space is Advance Auto Parts who will occupy approximately 8,000 square feet, T-Mobile and active leasing continues with national and regional tenant prospects. Landscaping, signage and final touches will be completed within the next few weeks.
